On 26–28 November 2025, the Field Epidemiology Training Program (Thailand FETP), Division of Epidemiology, Department of Disease Control, organized the “Policy Brief Writing Workshop” under the Data Impact Program at Riverine Place Hotel, Nonthaburi.
On 26–28 November 2025, the Field Epidemiology Training Program (Thailand FETP), Division of Epidemiology, Department of Disease Control, organized the “Policy Brief Writing Workshop” under the Data Impact Program at Riverine Place Hotel, Nonthaburi. The workshop aimed to enhance the capacity of health professionals and government personnel in synthesizing academic evidence, quantitative data, and health economics information to develop policy recommendations. Faculty members from the FETP, together with experts from various agencies—including the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Public Health, and the International Health Policy Program Foundation—served as group facilitators.

A total of 20 participants attended the workshop, comprising medical doctors and public health officers from the Department of Disease Control and the Department of Health, Ministry of Public Health, as well as professional statisticians from the National Statistical Office. Participants learned the full process of developing a policy brief: identifying the problem, analyzing root causes, developing and evaluating policy options, and preparing a concise policy recommendation for communication to relevant stakeholders and policymakers.
