International Field Epidemiology Training Program - Training of Trainers : IFETP-TOT

15th Cohort: SEPTEMBER 2-13, 2024

This 10-day course is designed to equip FETP graduates with the skills and knowledge to become effective mentors for future generations of field epidemiologists.

Eligibility Criteria

• FETP graduates (intermediate and advance level)
• Good English communication skills
• Experience in field supervision at least 1-2 years in preferred
• FETP mentors are preferred.

Curriculum Highlights

• Apply adult learning theory, a comprehensive set of instructional skills and deliver effective training in field epidemiology
• Develop and master effective mentoring techniques applied to field epidemiologic field works.
• Effectively teach scientific communication skills for translating complex epidemiologic concepts and findings.
• WEEK I @ SRIRACHA: Adult learning theory, coaching & mentoring skills, teaching style, common pitfalls in outbreak investigation for mentor, developing outbreak investigation checklists for mentor
• WEEK II @ BANGKOK: Common pitfalls in surveillance setup/evaluation, developing surveillance checklist for mentor, scientific communication in 10 modules.
